A FEW WORDS ABOUT ME
“The journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step.”
― Lao Tzu
As a yoga teacher, my main purpose is to lead you on the beautiful journey of discovery that yoga provides. Whether you want to move your body, reduce stress, increase good health and flexibility, reach spiritual growth, or something else, you will definitely benefit from this practice.
I am a Yoga Alliance Certified Experienced Registered Yoga Teacher & Continuing Education Provider (E-RYT 200 & YACEP), and have been classically trained in Hatha Yoga and Vinyasa Yoga. I have also completed additional trainings in Yin Yoga, Pranayama (Breathing Techniques), Meditation, Anatomy, Yogic Philosophy, etc. The list goes on! I am truly passionate about this practice, and I am constantly taking additional trainings to expand my knowledge of yoga, the body and health.
When I teach, my primary focus is on proper alignment and safety, because from proper alignment come the best benefits, like flexibility, strength, healing, stress reduction, to name a few! I will always encourage you to listen to your body, and to explore what feels right in your body in the present moment, which is why I often provide different options for postures.
Yoga has been a part of my life for years, and I have truly enjoyed seeing my practice evolve over time. I practice yoga every day, and not a day goes by where it doesn't teach me something new. Words can't describe how much peace yoga has brought me, and having the chance to share this special practice with others through online yoga classes fills me with joy, which is how Meg's Yoga Lounge came to life.
Fitness and strength training is also a huge part of me, and my clients really love the "Workout" style private yoga classes I offer.
Yoga has brought so many positive changes to my life, whether it be changes in my health, my relationships, my career, my lifestyle, my sleep, my nutrition, my coping skills, the list goes on and on. I am not the same person today as I was 10 years ago.
I know that I am exactly where I need to be. And so are you.
Namaste.
Meg
